In 2014 Serim launched our PINNACLE product line which provided an improved option for testing automated cleaning equipment used to reprocess medical equipment. Our PINNACLE Automated Enzymatic Cleaning Test (PINNACLE AEC) responds to all factors affecting the cleaning process and can be used in washer-disinfectors, ultrasonic cleaners and cart washers. This test will not show PASS results without adequate enzymatic activity during the cleaning cycle.
Our PINNACLE Manual Enzymatic Cleaning Test (PINNACLE MEC) is the only product available for manual cleaning solutions. This test indicates the presence of active enzymes in sink solution used for handwashing medical instruments and prevents using improperly diluted or expired detergents. Since enzyme activity varies by detergent brand a manufacturer, using tests that respond to enzymatic activity is critical.
